Kevin Kirkpatrick

Kevin is called as a lawyer in both the United States and Canada. He practices in the area of cross-border tax planning including work with wills, trusts, and estates; immigration; U.S. citizenship renunciations and permanent residency terminations; tax compliance and voluntary disclosures; purchase and sale of U.S. real estate; and businesses expanding into the U.S. market.

Patrick Lamoureux
Director, Outreach

Patrick Lamoureux is the President of Lams & Associates, a business advisement firm based in Sherwood Park, AB that assists organizations of all sizes to deliver consistent and customized service to their clients.

As a successful entrepreneur, international businessman, motivator, and coach, Patrick brings a unique mix of experiences to the AmCham Board. Over the course of his business career he has honed his entrepreneurial gifts by owning, operating and expanding a corporate franchise structure worldwide. Patrick is proud to bring his expertise in sales, marketing, operational efficiency and an unwavering focus on customer satisfaction to his clients in all industries.

Tejas Kashyap
Director, Government Relations Committee Member

Mr. Kashyap is the Mineral Resource Specialist for Government of the Northwest Territories. He is based in Yellowknife, Canada and is involved in all areas of the GNWT’s mining investment activities, with particular emphasis on advancing precious metals, base metals and diamond mining projects in the region. During his tenure, De Beers Canada Inc. and Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. opened world’s biggest, newest diamond mine (Gahcho Kué mine) with capital costs C$1.1 billion.

Prior to this, Mr. Kashyap has worked for Emerald Technology Ventures, Toronto – one of Canada’s largest clean technology venture capital funds, investing in early to mid-stage technology companies with focus on energy, smart grids, water and advanced materials.

Mr. Kashyap holds a Master of Business Administration from Vancouver Island University, Canada and Master of Science (International Business) from University of Hertfordshire, UK. He has a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from VTU, India.

Catherine Brownlee
Chair

Ms. Brownlee is the President and CEO of CBI, where she brings over 30 years’ experience in executive search and development, marketing and business strategies, across all sectors. Her database of over 85,000 contacts demonstrates her capacity to motivate, build and achieve results. She was recognized by her peers for her outstanding leadership with a Women of Influence Award, and a Paul Harris Award through the Rotary Club of Calgary.

Ms. Brownlee is the co-author of three bestsellers. Want to Work in Oil and Gas? Cat’s Tips to Get the Job of Your Dreams and How to Sell in Any Economy, the latter of which hit the number one on Amazon, in three categories, on its first day of release.

Ms. Brownlee is committed to serving her community through the Rotary Club and her passions are connecting people globally, and is seen in the areas of human rights, serving children, and vulnerable communities.

We are thrilled to benefit from Ms. Brownlee’s leadership in this new role.

Brad Robson
Vice-Chair

Over 30 years of delivering business solutions in executive leadership positions with GE, HP, CGI and currently with WaVv and ConvergX, business innovation and delivery is key. Each engagement, opportunity, conversation and notional concept from private sector through to government, showcased the incredible opportunity that in partnership, Canada and the United States have the capacity to truly succeed.

Brad is directly involved in cross border economic opportunities, trade relations, North American alliances and centres of excellence for the breadth of his professional career. His understanding of the nuances of each country is why he would like to contribute that experience and continue to deliver existing US Canada business relationships.  Within the AmCham West chapter his focus is to ensure members benefit from the unique and exclusive access to networks to accelerate business growth.

Dave Kennedy
Director, Government Relations

Dave has served in this role since 2016 and leads the Artificial Lift Division of Tundra Process Solutions. Prior to joining Tundra, he worked with Lufkin Industries running their Eastern Hemisphere. Dave was also involved in setting up their manufacturing plant in Romania during this time. Dave was responsible  for facilities in Egypt, Oman and Romania. Prior to joining Lufkin Industries, he was the Vice President for Cameron Subsea Systems based out of London responsible for revenues of 1.8 Billion Dollars mainly based upon EPC Projects in the North Sea, West Africa, Brazil, Gulf of Mexico, North Africa and Australia, utilizing local content and manufacturing facilities in each region. During his tenure at Cameron, he worked as a Global Subsea Product Manager, Regional Sales Manager in various regions in the world in Scotland, England, USA and Norway. He was born and educated in Aberdeen Scotland.

Murray Malley
Director, Finance

Murray founded HR-and, a developed a single log-in multi-currency database payroll, benefits and HRIS system. He has over 30 years of senior executive experience in the financial, technology, medical, aviation, manufacturing, international tax services and distribution industries, and has served as Chairman of numerous non-for-profit, public and private companies. Prior to founding HR-and Inc. he provided turn around services for 14 companies.

Shondell Sabad
Director, Innovation

Shondell is currently the CFO for an international mining investment company and has previously worked at TD Energy, Sempra Energy, Mirant America’s Energy Trading, TransCanada Energy and Shell Canada.

Shondell has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance (HONS), is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter-holder and Past President of the Calgary CFA Society.  Mr. Sabad has served as a board member for public, private and volunteer boards.

Cathie Saroka
Director, Marketing and Communications

With more than 35 years’ experience in the architectural glass industry, Cathie Saroka is the President & CEO of Goldray Glass, a manufacturer of specialty architectural glass for projects across North America. Ms. Saroka’s accomplishments include an MBA from the University of Calgary with a focus on Corporate Strategy and Entrepreneurship as well as certificates in Corporate Governance for SME’s from the U of A and Marketing Strategy from Cornell University. Ms. Saroka is currently the 2019-2020 Chair-Elect of the National Glass Association and a Board Member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada and is the Chair of its Marketing and Communication Committee.

Lanre Okunnuga
Director, Memberships

Lanre has over 10 years of corporate income tax experience, representing European and now Canadian clients with US inbound investments.

Lanre started with KPMG Netherlands in 2008. He worked with KPMG in the Netherlands for four years before joining the Calgary office. His expertise includes US tax planning for Canadian multinational corporations: US inbound planning, finance structuring, income tax treaty analysis and repatriation.

Lanre’s client work spans a variety of industry segments including private equity, energy services, technology outsourcing, software as a service, manufacturing, storage and distribution, retail, government, health care, real estate and tax exempts.
