Carlo Dade is Director of the Canada West Foundation’s Centre for Trade &Investment Policy and Senior Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C. He is a leading global expert on pan-Pacific trade, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Pacific Alliance trade blocs, North American competitiveness and Canada-Mexico relations.

Ian Brodie is a political scientist at University of Calgary’s School of Public Policy and former Chief of Staff to Prime Minister Stephen Harper. He held that office until July 1, 2008. After leaving government, Brodie focused on international financial and political developments as Strategic Adviser at the Inter-American Development Bank.

Jim Rowling is partner-in-charge of the US Corporate Tax Services practice in KPMG’s Calgary office and specializes in advising Canadian-based multinational clients with structuring their business operations in the U.S.A. Jim was originally based in Detroit, Michigan and is a member of the International Fiscal Association’s U.S. branch and the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society.
